Promoting our identity as a mutual insurer
Our identity as a mutual insurer is what unites us, inspires us and sets us apart.
Throughout the year, we chose not only to highlight what makes us different,
but also to showcase it with conviction and pride.
A major campaign promoting our mutualist approach initially spread our
message throughout Quebec. This led to an increased presence on our
social media platforms, blog posts and video clips, as well as sustained
media coverage bolstered by interviews with the Conseil québécois de la
coopération et de la mutualité. Co-op Week was one of the highlights of the year,
sparking rich and inspiring discussions within our network. On this occasion,
all of our mutual companies demonstrated our commitment to cooperation
and the positive impact of our actions on our communities.
Within the organization, we strengthened the commitment to our values by
sharing topical video clips featuring members of our teams who embody these
values in their daily work. We also asked our employes to take a fun quiz on
mutuality and to sign the declaration for the International Year of Cooperatives
as a reminder of the scope and importance of our mutualist identity. These
initiatives further asserted the unique character of our organization.
Making a difference in our communities
Our core purpose is reflected in the positive impact we have on those around
us. In 2025, Groupe Promutuel’s mutual companies once again proudly
demonstrated their community engagement by sponsoring, supporting and
contributing to causes and organizations that boost the social and economic
well-being of the regions they serve.
Honouring key figures
At the InterCÉLÉBRATION evening, organized by SOCODEVI and the Conseil
québécois de la coopération et de la mutualité, two significant figures from
our organization were presented with the Intercooperation Merit Award for
their key role in the organization’s strategic positioning.
Congratulations to:
•
Normand Fontaine, President of Groupe Promutuel from 1981
to 1998;
•

of Promutuel Insurance Les Bâtisseurs, who served

we have given back more than $40 million
