La Prairie, August 14, 2026 – Promutuel Insurance du St-Laurent aux Appalaches announced the 35 projects selected under its At the Heart of Your Community 2026 program, to which it has allocated a total of $750,000 this year. Spread across Chaudière-Appalaches and Montérégie, the selected organizations will implement initiatives that will make a tangible contribution to improving the quality of life in their communities. The complete list of selected projects can be found in the appendix.
“This year’s edition of the At the Heart of Your Community program has once again demonstrated the strength of the commitment shown by the organizations in our region. The 79 project applications received highlight the remarkable dedication of the individuals who work every day to make a difference in our communities. While we are unable to support every initiative submitted, we are proud to stand alongside 35 organizations that will bring meaningful projects to life for our communities and the well-being of their citizens," said Anne Vaillancourt, Chief Executive Officer of Promutuel Insurance du St-Laurent aux Appalaches.
The project submission period ran from March 1st to April 30, 2026. During this time, insured members of the Mutual Society submitted impactful projects aimed at benefiting their communities.
From August 14 to 31, 2026, , we invite the public to discover the selected projects and vote for the ones that inspire them most through our social media channels and our website. The two People's Choice projects will receive not only an increased donation, but also a full-page advertorial in the local newspaper of their choice to help further showcase their initiative. The winners will be announced in early September, so stay tuned!
