Promutuel Insurance Chaudière-Appalaches is proud to announce a total donation of $547,000 for the third edition of its In the Heart of Your Community program. The funds will go to support community projects led by 25 local organizations.
“There were so many great projects to choose from that the Board of Directors decided to do something different this year and contribute to all the organizations that made it to the public voting stage. We’re very excited to see these initiatives develop and the concrete impact they will have on our communities,” said Anne Vaillancourt, General Manager of Promutuel Insurance Chaudière-Appalaches.
In an open call for projects, from March 14 to May 5, 2023, the Mutual insurance association’s insured members were invited to submit initiatives that would engage and benefit the community. Voting took place between May 31 and June 16, 2023, after which the Board of Directors distributed the funds to all eligible projects. The three Coup de cœur projects that received the most votes will also receive a one-page advertorial in the weekly newspaper of their choice. The 2023 Coup de coeur winners are:
- Association Renaissance des Appalaches, Thetford Mines (Appalaches area)
- Aide alimentaire Lotbinière, Saint-Flavien (Lotbinière area)
- Maison de la famille Nouvelle-Beauce et Centre de pédiatrie sociale en communauté, Sainte-Marie (Beauce area)
Promutuel Insurance Chaudière-Appalaches has donated a total of $1,318,997 to the community via the annual program since its inception in 2021. This major contribution reflects the commitment of the Board of Directors to actively support the community, in keeping with Promutuel’s values of mutual assistance and cooperation.
