Formal Complaint Definition

A complaint is an expression of at least one of the following, which persists even after it has been considered and handled in the regular course of business by the staff of the relevant department:

  • Criticism of the organization
  • Indication of harm experienced or that could be experienced by a complainant
  • Request for corrective measures
