Promutuel Insurance du St-Laurent aux Appalaches donates $50,000 to the Jeunes et Familles Support Center.
Through its 2025 In the Heart of Your Community program, Promutuel Insurance du St-Laurent aux Appalaches has donated $50,000 to Cellule Jeunes et Familles Brome-Missisquoi. The organization will use the funds to support people experiencing homelessness in the region.
Entrée chez soi Brome-Missisquoi and Cellule Jeunes et Familles Brome-Missisquoi have launched a one-of-a-kind project, acquiring a building in Cowansville to consolidate three essential services under the same roof:
- Warming shelter: open seven days/week from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. from December 1 to March 31 to offer place to warm up, rest, and receive assistance.
- Day centre: a welcoming place where people can rest, eat, wash, get support, meet with counsellors, and feel less isolated
- Emergency temporary accommodation: an apartment for four people, for up to three months, with support to help restore a sense of stability
This project is made possible through the extensive collaboration of local, regional, and government partners. They have all come together to provide personal, safe, and dignified solutions for those who should not be left behind.
