La Prairie, March 2, 2026 – Aware of the importance of its mission as a proud local mutual insurer, Promutuel Insurance du St-Laurent aux Appalaches reaffirms its commitment to the community with the launch of the 6th edition of its At the Heart of Your Community program.
Until April 30, insured members of the Mutual Company are invited to submit a community-driven project led by an organization that promotes the well-being of its community. Selected organizations will receive financial support to help bring their projects to life.
“We are proud to uphold our mutual values of solidarity and cooperation by contributing to meaningful initiatives that enhance the quality of life of our fellow citizens and strengthen the vitality of our regions. In 2025, we awarded $788,600 to 29 organizations across the greater territory of Promutuel Insurance du St-Laurent aux Appalaches through this program,” said Anne Vaillancourt, Executive Director.
Insured members of Promutuel Insurance du St-Laurent aux Appalaches are therefore encouraged to propose projects from community organizations, mutual-aid associations, charitable foundations or other organizations with initiatives that benefit the community. Program details and the project submission form are available on the Promutuel Insurance du St-Laurent aux Appalaches website.
A committee will review the submissions to identify the recipient organizations and determine the funding required. In August, the public will be invited to vote for their two favourite entries among the finalists. The selected projects will receive a sponsored feature in a local weekly newspaper.
