“Insure Your Future” Contest
Jocelyn Poirier wins $10,000 grand prize
Québec City, December 10, 2014 — On Friday, Promutuel Insurance was pleased to award the provincial grand prize of $10,000 in its “Insure Your Future” contest to the lucky winner, Mr. Jocelyn Poirier, at the company’s office in Disraeli. A resident of Disraeli who retired a few years ago, Mr. Poirier has insured his home with Promutuel Assurance Appalaches − St-François for the last 50 years.
“When they first told me the good news, I was really surprised and I couldn’t quite believe it. Then after a few minutes, once it had really sunk in that I’d actually won, I was over the moon! I’ve never won a contest or a prize draw in my life. All the money I’ve ever had, I’ve worked hard to earn it. I can tell you that this $10,000 prize came as a very pleasant surprise!” said Mr. Poirier.
Richard Leclerc, General Manager of the Mutual Association, was very happy to hear the news. “I am extremely pleased to see this prize awarded to such a loyal, long-standing insured-member of ours. It’s always nice to feel like we’re spoiling our clients and to thank them for their continued trust,” he pointed out. Mr. Leclerc had the pleasure of announcing the good news to the lucky winner and handing over the cheque in person.
Promutuel Insurance asked Mr. Poirier if he had any specific plans for the money. “I’m sharing the money I won with my wife,” he said. “We’re planning to make the most of it to spoil our loved ones a little and treat ourselves to some little luxuries we wouldn’t usually have. Like the name of the contest suggests, this is a great way for us to ‘insure’ our future too!”
About the “Insure Your Future” contest
The contest was held from March 31 to October 31, 2014, and the draw took place on November 14. Contest entrants had a chance to win one of 50 instant prizes of $100 prepaid VISA cards, as well a grand prize of $10,000 in cash.
