Victoriaville, September 14, 2022 – Yesterday, more than 120 Groupe Promutuel directors, executives and partners gathered at the Victoriaville Golf Club to take part in the 33rd annual golf tournament, an event that coincides this year with the company’s 170th anniversary. To mark the occasion, a record $56,000 was raised and donated to Maison Marie-Pagé of Victoriaville. Maison Marie-Pagé is a hospice care home whose skilled and dedicated team provides palliative care and support services to people at the end of life.

“I raise my golfer hat to the generosity of the tournament participants and all those who helped raise this extraordinary sum,” said Groupe Promutuel president Yvan Rose. “Promutuel Insurance is very proud to give to an organization that warmly cares for people at the end of life while providing support to their loved ones.”

“Our annual golf tournament is an opportunity to help others and give back to the community while enjoying a visit to one of our local mutual associations,” said chief executive officer Geneviève Fortier. “It’s really inspiring to celebrate the values we hold dear at Promutuel Insurance. The return of this fundraising event, which has been on the ice for two years, will provide a big boost to the organization after a challenging time for all of us.”

The Groupe Promutuel Executive Golf Tournament allows its ambassadors from all over the province to come together and make a difference in a new community every year. In 2022, the designated region was Bois-Francs.

“I am delighted to see all the money that was raised for Maison Marie-Pagé, an invaluable community resource in the Arthabaska and L’Érable regional county municipalities for almost 10 years now,” said board chair Suzanne Mailhot. “This contribution reflects our desire to give back and play a key role in our community’s health and prosperity.”
