Beaupré, September 20, 2023 — More than 120 directors, officers, and partners of Groupe Promutuel gathered yesterday at the Grand Vallon golf course in Mont-Sainte-Anne to take part in the organization’s 34th annual Tournament. To mark the occasion, $45,000 was raised and donated to Service d’aide communautaire de Charlevoix-Est. Its skilled and dedicated team has a mission to intervene, educate, and promote healthy lifestyles among people in vulnerable situations.
“I wish to salute the generosity of the tournament participants and to thank all those who helped raise this extraordinary amount. Promutuel Insurance is very proud to give to an organization that provides such warm and qualified support to people in vulnerable situations,” said Groupe Promutuel President, Yvan Rose.
“Our annual golf tournament is an opportunity to combine helping others with giving back to the community while enjoying a visit to one of our local Mutual associations,” added Chief Executive Officer, Geneviève Fortier. “It’s really inspiring to celebrate the values we hold dear at Promutuel Insurance. In a context of economic instability, runaway inflation affects the price of groceries, transportation, housing, and more. This fundraising event will provide important support to this organization and the people of Charlevoix-Est.”
The Groupe Promutuel Executive Golf Tournament allows its ambassadors, from all over Québec, to come together and make a difference in a new community every year. In 2023, the designated region was the one covered by Promutuel Insurance Lac au Fleuve. The money raised will be used to run a food bank, distribute free snacks, at seven schools and three day camps, and add meals to daycare services.

With a humane, caring, and non-judgmental approach, the Service d’aide Communautaire has been a valuable resource for the residents of the Charlevoix-Est regional county municipalities for over 35 years. This contribution reflects our desire to play a key role in our community and actively support its development,” said Martine Thériault and Pierre Raymond, respectively Board Chair President and General Director of Promutuel Insurance Lac au Fleuve.
