If you’re in the habit of going to a Promutuel office to pay your bill, now’s the time to use our Online Payment Service or go through your financial institution. To avoid processing delays, we recommend not sending cheques by mail.
If you need to file a claim outside business hours, call 1-888-590-2433 or fill in the online form.
Discount on auto insurance premiums
With people self-isolating, we’ve decided to offer a break on car insurance premiums for personal and commercial vehicles. This special measure also applies to essential workers whose jobs require them to continue using their vehicles. The discount is for three months and is based on how much less you use your vehicle. You can also elect to donate your discount to a deserving local organization as determined by your mutual association.
More accommodating premium payment policy
These are very difficult times and we want to help. If you’re having trouble making your Promutuel Insurance payment, we’ll be glad to see what we can do. All you have to do is get in touch if you’re facing special circumstances.
Extra coverage for certain claims
Specific measures have been put in place to support our insured members in the current situation, including extra coverage for certain claims. We are closely monitoring the crisis as it evolves and continuously adjusting our support measures to meet your needs. Feel free to contact your representative if you have any questions about your coverage.
As ordered by the government and for your personal health and safety, our mutual associations have postponed the AGMs they were supposed to hold in March. Once new dates are finalized, they will be announced here.

The COVID-19 pandemic has ushered in a phishing pandemic, too. You could receive emails from ill-intentioned individuals claiming to represent Promutuel and offering discounts, new features, or changes to your policy. Please be cautious. Call us if you have doubts about anything.

Promutuel Insurance was there when Centraide (the United Way) came calling. We joined with four other insurers to donate $400,000 to the Emergency Community Fund.
