Promutuel Insurance supports and celebrates agricultural businesses in Québec!
Quebec City, September 29, 2017 — As part of the 2017 edition of the Ordre national du mérite agricole (ONMA) regional gala, which was held today at the Hilton Quebec hotel, Promutuel Insurance, a major partner in the event for the 25th consecutive year, would like to congratulate and thank all the participants and winners in this 128th competition.
“Promutuel Insurance has been here for 165 years, close to the people in every region of Quebec, and true to its agricultural origins. I want to say thank you to the farmers whose daily work makes its possible for us to enjoy local products. These products are numerous and of the highest quality. They are quite literally the fruits of your labor, and they deserve recognition,” said Jean-Denis Morin, vice-president of Promutuel Insurance’s board of directors.
Mr. Morin also congratulated Ferme Comaro (Pont-Rouge) and Ferme Pellerat (Saint-Roch-des-Aulnaies), the two regional winners of the Mérite Promutuel Assurance de la prevention award. Since 1993, this award has recognized efforts to improve safety on farms.
“Each year we are very proud to hand out this award. The innovative measures these businesses have taken to ensure a safe work environment are impressive. They inspire others and help them become more aware of the benefits of implementing good preventive practices. Safety must always be a priority on farms,” Mr. Morin added.
