What a wonderful time of year! It’s certainly one of our favourites. Even shopping can be enjoyable if you know where to look. That’s why this year, we’re getting into the spirit of giving by sharing our list of the best Christmas markets in the province. Ready to find some exceptional gifts made right here in Québec? QUÉBEC CITY’S GERMAN CHRISTMAS MARKET

  • Thursday through Sunday from November 22 to December 23, 2019

Québec City’s German Christmas Market brings you the unique charm of those famous European Christmas markets, right in the heart of Old Québec. With over 80 exhibitors from Québec as well as from Germany and other parts of Europe, you’ll find hundreds of gift ideas and delicious products to give this holiday season. Don’t miss it!

LONGUEUIL’S TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS MARKET

  • Friday through Sunday from November 29 to December 22, 2019

Just from its maxim, which translates as “Bringing ancestral traditions to life in contemporary creations,” you can tell they do things a little differently in Longueuil. For its 12th edition, Longueuil’s Traditional Christmas Market has plenty of activities and treats lined up: bretzels, mulled wine, hot chocolate, traditional games, an enchanted forest, a little train, and of course, terroir products and artisanal creations. It’s just the thing to get you in a holiday mood!

CHRISTMAS AT SHERBROOKE’S MARCHÉ DE LA GARE

  • Friday through Sunday from November 30 to December 22, 2019

This Christmas at the Gare de Sherbrooke, you’ll find artisans with handcrafted gifts, farmers and makers serving up local flavours, a horse‑drawn carriage, storytelling, entertainment, special events, and more. Come to Sherbrooke’s city centre for a Christmas market that’s beautifully illuminated and full of good cheer. A perfect outing with family or friends!

TERREBONNE CHRISTMAS MARKET

The 2019 Terrebonne Christmas Market on Île-des-Moulins promises to be magical! Come sample local fare and discover the work of our region’s talented artisans. It’s the perfect place to celebrate the holidays with family or friends!

CHRISTMAS VILLAGE OF SAINTE-THÉRÈSE

  • Thursday through Sunday from November 28 to December 15, 2019

This year the Christmas Village of Sainte-Thérèse will host more than 70 merchants. With family or with your loved ones, you will make 100% local finds. Guaranteed to get you in a holiday mood!

CHRISTMAS MARKET AT OUR LADY OF THE CAPE SHRINE IN TROIS-RIVIÈRES

The annual Christmas Market at Our Lady of the Cape Shrine in Trois-Rivières is a chance for adults and children alike to celebrate the spirit of Christmas. Come see the hobby farm, blacksmith’s shop, entertainers, and over 125 exhibitors in outdoor stalls and in the basement of this incredible basilica. The perfect place to find that perfect gift!

SAGUENAY EUROPEAN CHRISTMAS MARKET

  • Thursday through Sunday from December 5 to 8 December 8, 2019

A winter wonderland of wooden stalls awaits at the Saguenay European Christmas Market. There’s also an illuminated forest, a gigantic Christmas tree, choirs, storytellers, entertainers, and of course, plenty of artisans ready to share their creative and delicious wares.

NOMININGUE CHRISTMAS MARKET

  • Saturdays and Sundays from November 23 to December 8, 2019
  • 2150 chemin du Tour-du-Lac, Nominingue

Every year the Nominingue Christmas Market lights up the village and station with its charming wooden stalls where you’ll find beautiful Christmas decorations, tasty terroir products, and gorgeous local crafts. Over 30 artists and merchants are waiting to welcome you to the site, which you’ll find transformed by the magic of Christmas.

MAGIE DE NOËL (SAINT-HYACINTHE)

Magie de Noël de Saint-Hyacinthe is a classic Christmas event. It’s a very special day with a very special cause, since all proceeds go to Grand Galop, a community pediatrics centre that helps children in downtown Saint-Hyacinthe.
